For Immediate Release February 13, 2012 Contact: Robin Flint, ladypianotuner@aol.com Your eyes will be smilin,' even if you are not Irish, when the Choral Art Society of the South Shore, now in its 53rd season, will present Celtic Cabaret, with Corned Beef and Cabbage dinner, from 6:00-10:00 on Saturday, March 10 at the Hingham Sons of Italy on 3A (88 Chief Justice Cushing Highway, Hingham). The Celtic K's band will entertain and also lead an Irish Sing Along! Members of the chorus will offer stunning solos and delicious duets. Dinner will be Corned Beef and Cabbage, homemade Irish soda bread, scrumptious desserts, and cash bar. Come bid on some great Silent Auction items! This event is an annual scholarship fundraiser. The Choral Art Society awards a $1000 scholarship each year to a senior high school student from the South Shore going to major in music in college. We are hoping to raise enough funds to award two scholarships this year! The funds raised also support the work of the chorus in its innovative performances and work in nursing homes and other community outreach. Find out how to apply for our scholarship here.
